Ecstatic for Italy and Brazil for their first team medal! USA is great as usual. It’s such a shame for China. They always falter when it counts most. Their beam routines mostly depend on connections, so just a bit of nerves will cause them to lose significant amounts of difficulty. In Tokyo, they qualified in 3rd and ended up in 7th. Some of the comments remind me of the difference between Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire. Who’s the better dancer? If you prefer grace, Astaire. If you prefer power, Kelly. No denying both are exceptionally skilled dancers. This footage looks like ballet because of the time and the equipment. Looks like she’s doing the routine on thick shag carpet, not spring floors.
